Mayyil N.R.I Forum is a friendship circle which aims to build up a strong and firm relationship for better understanding and reinforce brotherhood among its members. The idea originally took birth in the minds of a group of people a long time back. But due to the harsh realities of present day expatriate life in the Emirates it took quite a long time to give shape to such an organization. This friendship circle was officially formed on December 31, 2005. Expatriates who hail from the remote villages of Mayyil, Kuttiyattor and Kolachery of the Kannur district, residing in U.A.E are estimated to be more than 750.
This non profitable organization formed for the well being of the expatriates hailing from these three panchayaths aspire to function beyond religious, communal or socio-political barriers. It reminds us that we all are the offsprings of Mayyil irrespective of our socio economic or other differences. This union of friendship realizes the uniqueness of each person and that each individual is an integral part of this society. Also it reminds us that we all are responsible and has the right to contribute his own services to the well being of his native place as well as the country which provides his livelihood. Also we realize that our union should not be for vested interests but for noble causes.
